St.Peter's University is established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act,1956. It was earlier functioning as St. Peter's Engineering College which was established in the year 1992 and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, with all the eligible programmes accredited by NBA AICTE, New Delhi. St. Peter's University is committed to impart Quality Education and Research in the fields of Medical Sciences, Engineering, Technology, Science and Humanities, and Management to develop the students as competent Citizens with the spirit to serve the nation.
